    NICE!! Publish, publish!!

    :D

  2. * Says:

Hehe, this needs to go into EMEL mag!

  3. toobaa Says:

I hope I am, in part, redeemed.

  4. toobaa Says:

Hehe! I’m glad it is liked! :D

  5. Oz Says:

Also, we can now hangout at this blog post! :D

  6. * Says:

Lol, wonderful hangout you have here. Hope I’m not intruding.

  7. toobaa Says:

Hey! It’s only a hangout because of you!

  8. * Says:

Oz and I hang around here more than you do! Other than Toobaa, all that’s missing is food…

Milkshake, moozemac and Lindt chocolate I think would do. Hm, and maybe a thai chicken almondine salad too, yum. Oh and tomato soup and caesar salad from Johnny Carino’s and bolognese from Mint.

  9. toobaa Says:

Haha, a bit of Egypt, you mean!

Aw, I miss moozemacs, even though I never had one… Knowing that one could be whipped up just around the corner at any moment always gave me a sense of direction, a sense of where the Deeja is, and of cullinary genious.

I can make you a Thai Chicken Almondine… I’ve figured it out! 8)

  10. * Says:

I never made you one? That’s really quite horrible and I’m sorry. Did you have some of my lentil and chickpease soup? Right, I owe you a MoozeMac and you owe me a TCA (well, not owe as such, but I shall wilt without one lol). Insha’ALlaah.

Oz, if you ever feel peckish, it’s vital that you consult us.

  11. Oz Says:

I’ll be honest. I’ve never heard of any of the foods mentioned from post 9 downwards. Where are Johnny Carino’s and Mint? Or are they brands? In which case, whom? OR are they merely metaphors for other things? (In which case why?)

Also, I’m perpetually peckish. Breakfast (although fully cooked) is 4 hours away. 5, if I oversleep, which is likely. :(

  12. toobaa Says:

My stomach is grumbling. Perhaps I ought not to eat in step with the Accenture feast tonight to raise money for Ethiopa’s starving people. It doesn’t make sense…

And Oz, I did tell you to roam around Cairo a little more ;)

  13. Oz Says:

How/what was the Accenture feast? I’m peckish again (always around 4am?!) but to be fair, I DO get to dine here (http://flickr.com/photos/headjelly/5161352/) three times a day!

    :D

P.S. Cairo note taken onboard. :$

  14. * Says:

Yes, how was the dinner? I think it’d be a cleverly delivered point to set the tables for a feast- chocolate fountains and all- and then announce far too late into the evening that there will be no food or fountains in sympathy with those in Ethiopia.

Grumpy and underfed people aren’t always as generous however, so maybe not.

How grand! Why are you there Oz? I thought I’d coined the term ‘perpetually peckish’, but it seems not. Cairo, and that the restaurant was on the Nile made it even better. In Alexandria, Coffee Roastary for the deserts and smoothies and Cilantros for Thai Chicken Almondine salad. Now you know.

A Moozemac is ideal for those 4am snacks by the way.

  15. Oz Says:

I’m on a 2 week Muslim Leadership course, lectures, debates, tours, etc… Lots of fun, but sleeping around 4 hours a night!

Whats a Moozemac? And whats the plural of a Moozemac?

  16. * Says:

Sounds interesting…very social. With food, even the sleepless bit must be fun lol.

A Moozemac is made as follows:

Get some bread, bananas, butter, peanut butter (and chocolate spread if you want)

Spread all three spreads on slice one. Put it on the counter, lay the sliced banana on it, then spread the 3 spreads on slice two, put it facing down on the bananas. Then cover the top of slice2 with the 3 spreads, then layer the bananas on it and cover 1 side of the last slice of bread-slice 3 one to top it off. :D

Sort of like a BigMac, but with banana (Mooze/ma’ooz) instead.

  17. toobaa Says:

    mooze = banana (bil3arabi)

  18. Oz Says:

Ah, I see… It sounds like something that I’d either get hooked on, and end up in a gutter somewhere pining for it, or absolutely not like and try and hurt myself. I don’t like these options. :(

However, I will try it at some point this week. You two are both liable for what happens afterwards.
